Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens has got to be one of the city’s most glorious spots to say “I do” which is why Fanni and Peter picked it for their micro-wedding.

With the weather playing along (just) Groom, guests and dog of honour gathered in front of the Glasshouse, chatting and laughing as they awaited the Bride's arrival. The chatting had an extra warmth to it as the Bride and family were from Hungary and there was some interpreting happening on both sides. Hungarian English was head and shoulders above most of the English Hungarian though!

The “aisle” at the Botanical Gardens is actually the main avenue, so it’s a long but beautiful walk for the wedding party which means plenty of time for capturing images of the beautiful dress and the nervous Groom.

The ceremony involved some big smiles, looks of love, and top ring delivery by the flower girl before the best confetti reactions from Groom, Peter.

Then it was fizz and congratulations in the gardens and, as guests started to make their way to the reception, Fanni and Peter took a stroll together which led to some great couple shots both in the gardens and the Glasshouse.

Having borrowed the keys to his Dad’s Honda S2000 for wedding car duties Peter whisked his new bride over to the reception at Bench in Nether Edge. Having a smaller wedding party meant the couple had been able to book out the restaurant which is easily one Sheffield's best.

More congratulations and a very moving speech by the Bride’s sister brought my afternoon with the couple to a close. And a great afternoon it was!
