About me

Hi! I'm Colin, and back in 2015 I made the jump into full-time freelance photography.

My first forays into photography are down to my dad, who gave me my first SLR camera when I was barely more than a toddler: my Pentax ME Super. Armed with my first Press Pass and my trusty Pentax, I think it's safe to say I was the only photographer changing film in the press pit during Terrorvision's set at Rock In The Castle 2005.

Being based in the steel city of Sheffield puts me in the perfect position to commute to anywhere in the UK (and beyond) to cover your wonderful weddings; it also allows me quick and easy access to the Peak District National Park, which is where you'll generally find me when I'm not working. I'm a keen runner, climber and cyclist, so I'm often being out-climbed by my eldest, Ada, whizzing the youngest, Meg round on the voo-voo (known to most as a bicycle) or hand in hand with my wife Rae. In 2018 I got the chance to organise my own wedding when Rae and I tied the knot in front of our friends and family. It was a brilliant day, and I truly appreciate all the thought and care that goes into making your special day a unique one filled with love, fun and dancing.

Our latest project has been a full-house renovation which was project managed by Rae whilst she was on maternity leave with Meg, and now we have a family home that also doubles as photography HQ.

I will always bring you a truly personal photography experience. I invest in each and every wedding, and often keep in touch with couples way beyond their big day. It's always an absolute joy to be invited back to photograph christenings or family gatherings as my wedding couples expand their family or celebrate milestones.

Of course you can also sign up for emails where I regularly share my blog updates of my most recent or favourite weddings (although I certainly won’t flood your inbox!).
