Picking the first wedding to blog for the new website was a really difficult choice as I’ve got a backlog of absolute stunners from the last 18 months.

It was a seriously scorching wedding day for Molly & Bryn up at Bakewell Retreats Haddon Grove. So much so that, with the bride's permission, I photographed the whole day in a pair of shorts. Nice one's mind, I wasn’t walking around in my wackiest ‘80s Bermudas - this should be a good indicator of the fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.

Family and friends stayed on the wedding site in Bakewell Retreats holiday cottages, and everyone was helping with the morning’s preparations; making sure the bath was stocked with the couple’s favourite Rattler cider and, of course, making sure both Bride and Groom were dressed and ready come ceremony time.

Just ahead of the ceremony Molly and Bryn had a private “first look” as they planned to head down the aisle to their celebrant-led ceremony (Louise, Kickass Gatherings) together, safe to say Bryn’s jaw hit the floor when he saw his wife-to-be in her showstopper of a star-covered dress.

And so the knot was tied under a flower-adorned arch (First 4 Flowers), before heading into a beautiful teepee (Prestige Events Nationwide) for an afternoon of sun-filled fun including giant jenga, speeches, rounders, ice lollies and the best guessing game a maid-of-honour could unleash on her bride sister.

The sun was getting low, and so was the limbo bar bringing out the competitive streak in a number of wedding guests. Woodfired pizzas (Sunshine Pizza Co.) helped refuel everyone as the party (Hi Life Entertainment) heated up with plenty of music and dancing including a conga led by the bride herself.

Anyway, I’ll stop rattling on and let the images do the rest of the talking.
